Terms of Service

1. Software License

We grant you a revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited license to download, install, and run the Software locally on your machines.

• Solo Tier: Grants one developer the right to run the Software for personal or commercial programming sessions on up to 3 personal machines.
• Team Tier: Licenses are granted per seats purchased. They allow organizations to deploy Pithos across team developers for unified context pruning workflows.
• Restrictions: You may not reverse engineer, decompile, redistribute, lease, or resell the Software binary files.

2. Third-Party API Costs & Providers

Pithos functions as local middleware. It optimizes prompts but does not provide direct AI generation. You are solely responsible for all usage fees, token invoices, and compliance terms charged by your chosen AI Providers (e.g., Anthropic Claude API billing). Pithos is not affiliated with or liable for charges incurred on third-party API keys.

3. Subscriptions, Payments & Price Adjustments

Billing and invoice transactions are managed by our merchant of record, Dodo Payments.

• Billing Cycles: Web Lite Plus and Pithos plans are billed monthly or annually. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled through your Dodo Payments portal.
• Price Adjustments: We reserve the right to modify subscription pricing for any tier upon 30 days' advance notice sent via your registered email.

4. Refund Policy

We offer a transparent refund process:

If you are unsatisfied with the license performance, you are entitled to a full refund within 14 days of purchase. Refunds are initiated through the billing link provided in your Dodo Payments receipt. After 14 days, all subscription charges are non-refundable.

5. Warranty Disclaimer ("AS IS")

PITHOS IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT ANY EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the Software will operate completely error-free, that the token reduction calculations will be perfectly static, or that context pruning will never omit necessary files. We highly recommend reviewing local configurations and diffs before executing large prompts.

6. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL PITHOS OR ITS CREATOR (SIDAR ANGUN) BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES (INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA CORRUPTION, DOWNTIME, OR CODE LEAKAGES TO PROVIDERS DUE TO USER PROXY BYPASSES) ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE SOFTWARE. OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE TOTAL FEES PAID BY YOU TO PITHOS DURING THE PRECEDING 12 MONTHS.
