● Local-First Security & Execution
Pithos is built on a strict **local-first** architecture. **Your codebase, prompts, configurations, and intercepted files NEVER leave your local machine.** Pithos does not deploy any cloud servers to relay your code. All token pruning, prompt caching optimization, and response logs happen strictly inside your local runtime context.
1. Information We Collect
Because Pithos operates entirely offline, our local agent gathers zero user data. The only data we process is when you interact with our public web presence:
- Newsletter / Email Notifications: If you voluntarily subscribe to our newsletter or notifications, we collect your email address via Formspree. This address is used solely to notify you about Pithos product updates and releases.
- Subscription & Purchase Data: Payments are processed securely via Dodo Payments. We receive confirmation of payments, licensed tiers, and general geographic location for tax calculations. We never see or store your credit card details.
2. How Your API Keys and Code are Handled
Pithos functions as a local proxy between your IDE extension and your AI providers.
- API Keys: When configuring your API keys (e.g., Anthropic, OpenAI) in Pithos settings, they are saved locally in your system configuration files. Pithos servers never receive, store, or log these keys.
- Proxy Routing: When Pithos intercepts prompts to Claude Code, Cline, or Aider, it processes them locally and sends them directly to the AI provider endpoint using your own keys. Pithos does not store history on any remote databases.
3. Third-Party Services
We rely on select trusted third-party platforms to run the administrative aspects of Pithos:
Formspree
Manages newsletter email submissions and product notifications.
Dodo Payments
Acts as our merchant of record for secure billing, licenses, and invoice management.
AI Providers
Prompts are routed directly from your local machine to your chosen AI vendor (e.g., Anthropic).
4. GDPR and KVKK Compliance
We respect user privacy rights globally. Under regulations such as GDPR (Europe) and KVKK (Turkey), you have the right to access, export, correct, or delete any personal information we hold (which is limited to your email address and billing transaction history).
